Despite my cousin's usually good taste, she set me up with this guy...ohhh...probably about a year ago. He seemed extremely interested, we had quite a bit in common so after a couple of weeks of text chatting, and phone calls, he came down to pick me up for a date.
No joke, it was right around the time he was suppossed to be there and my phone goes off. It was him, a text message. I thought, okay well, maybe he's running late or something and is just letting me know Nope, he definitly sent me a text to tell me that he was in my driveway and I needed to come down.
I sorta stood there like huh? Like he's not going to come to my door? He sent me a text message. So I went down, he didn't get out of the car...sat in the car while I let myself in.
We went to dinner, had a good time. I will always make the first date good, even though I already know this isn't happening. So I had hopes that maybe he'd redeem himself on the way home. We get back to my driveway, and again....he didn't get out of the car! He sat there, and was like okay well have a good night. No opening my door, walking me to the door....nope. Sat in the drivers seat like I owed him something. I said goodnight, and walked home.
A couple of weeks later, I went out with a girlfriend, and apparently him and a friend were at the bar we were at. He was all "we have to hang out, let's get some drinks, blah blah blah." He was such an ass! I don't even know where to start, but needless to say...I never spoke to him again.
So my cousin came over last night before she headed to Vegas (so jealous!) and told me that he was asking about me the other day apparently. I almost laughed and was like please tell me you told him something.
Her words..."Stephanie's great, and maybe you'd know if you knew how to be a gentleman."
Him: Huh? I thought I was good...
Again...no clue. No idea how a guy thinks that texting me from my driveway...then treating me and my friend the way he did at the club would win me over, but no. Sorry dude! I had to laugh... and of course, share :)
